Under Construction: A 1955 Ebbets Field Model.
Master ballpark modeler Steve Wolf is building a masterpiece, just in time for the 100th Anniversary of the opening of Ebbets Field.
Steve Wolf has earned a reputation for building the greatest Baseball Stadium Models in the World. His work has been featured in numerous publications, television shows, exhibits, and museums. His creations are highly sought after by the biggest collectors in the hobby.
If you want a Steve Wolf model, unfortunately you usually need to join the waiting list. And wait a long time... Until now. For the first time, you can jump to the head of the line and acquire this Ebbets Field model. When the ballpark is completed, it will be featured in the 2013 Robert Edwards Auction.
This Ebbets Field replica will be amazing - sitting on a base 42"x 52", the model will be enclosed with thick museum quality glass and a custom table (similar to the Steve Wolf Yankee stadium model below).

Staying true to the specifications of the real stadium, the Ebbets Field model will contain approximately 31,902 seats.

Features to be incorporated into the ballpark include:
• A beautiful brick exterior

Museum of Los Angeles.
• Dodger blue seats adorned with red box railings throughout
• 7 muscular light towers that will illuminate the playing surface
• A fully lighted interior
• Advertisements and billboards from 1955 will be faithfully reproduced
• World Series bunting flags will adorn the stands
• A left field foul line running up the retaining wall to the left field stands
• A beautifully detailed scoreboard
• Angled wall and highly detailed screen in right field
• Lighted press boxes
• Photographer's nests under the 2nd deck
This extraordinary model will become the centerpiece for a special collector and the winner of this auction will feel as if they stepped back into time to that incredible summer of 1955 in Brooklyn, NY when the Dodger's won the World Series over the mighty New York Yankees (sorry Yankee fans) for the first and only time in New York!
Look for further updates on this story when the model is finished. Steve informed us that this will probably be his last Ebbets Field replica, as he has been retained for some other projects after this creation is completed.
Here's a look at a few other ballparks Steve has made over the years:
